Rihanna spends money taking her family on trips around the world to enjoy the time she has worked hard to earn

Welcoming a new member, Rihanna splurges on Sky-High Century city penthouse for iffy amount

Since 2014, Rihanna has made The Century, one of Los Angeles’ most costly and prestigious residential buildings, her primary abode.

She’s feeling a little crowded in her three-bedroom, 3,500 square foot home, though, with a new baby and a second child on the way, employees, and her constant entourage.

In order to correct this predicament, the Barbadian superstar spent $21 mιllιon to рurchase one of The Century’s largest residences, a penthouse that takes up the whole 40th level of the structure.

The spread is fit for any A-lister with more than 9,000 square feet of living space, several custom features, and breathtaking views.

The apartment was sold by billionaire co-founder of the technology business Afterpay Nick Molnar, who had originally asked for $28 mιllιon.

However, Rihanna negotiated a significant reduction and probably used L.A.’s mansion tax as leverage because the рurchase was finalized on March 31, only one day before the new tax went into effect. Molnar would have owing an extra $1.1 mιllιon in taxes if the рurchase had been completed in April.

Visitors are astounded by the curving wall of floor to ceiling windows in the living room, which boasts views of the city skyline, as soon as they step off the private elevator landing into the condo’s entrance gallery. The dining area has dark brown hardwood floors that flow into the all-white kitchen, which has marble countertops, two islands, and high-end appliances.

A soundproof movie theater with velour couches is also on the property, along with a master suite with a curved bedroom, two custom closets, two bathrooms, and a separate lounge. The condo’s four distinct outdoor terraces, which face north, south, east, and west and offer panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean, Catalina Island, Downtown Los Angeles skyscrapers, the San Gabriel mountains, and even snow-capped Mount Baldy, are probably its most impressive features.

The monthly HOA fee for Rihanna’s penthouse is a hefty $8,814, but in exchange, she gets access to all of the building’s best amenities, including four deeded parking spaces in the garage, a 24-hour concierge, security guards, access to an outdoor pool and lush gardens, on-site storage, an on-site restaurant, conference rooms, and much more.
