Scarlett Johansson made a drаmаtic entrance at the 2020 Screen Actors Guild Awards alongside her fiancé Colin Jost on Sunday night. The 35-year-old actress appeared vibrant in a plunging ocean blue gown from Armani Privé at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.
Scarlett appeared to bounce back after falling seriously ill before the 2020 Santa Barbara International Film Festival on Friday, which prevented her from accepting an award for her role in Marriage Story. She dazzled on the red carpet in a glamorous teal satin dress by Armani Privé, accentuated with gemstone-adorned straps and her hair elegantly pulled back.
Accessorizing with diamond drop earrings and a gold bracelet on her left wrist, Scarlett turned heads as she arrived. She was nominated for two awards at the SAG Awards: Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role for Marriage Story and Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role for Jojo Rabbit.
Though Scarlett lost the Supporting Role award to Laura Dern, she still took the stage to present a video package for Jojo Rabbit alongside Taika Waititi and Roman Griffin Davis. She also shared a handwritten note she had given to her Marriage Story co-star Adam Driver, expressing her disappointment at not being able to accept her award in person due to her suddеn illness.
Reflecting on her successful year, Scarlett expressed gratitude for the opportunities to work with talented directors and emphasized the evolving roles for womеn in film. Upcoming projects for Scarlett include reprising her role as Natasha Romanoff in Marvel Studios’ Black Widow and voicing Ash in the animated sequel Sing 2, slated for release in July 2021.
